1. Who provides the service
The VetCare service ("the platform", "we") is provided by:
- Name: [company details to be announced]
- UIC (ЕИК): [company details to be announced]; VAT No: [company details to be announced]
- Registered office: [company details to be announced], [company details to be announced]
- Represented by: [company details to be announced]
- E-mail: [company details to be announced]; phone: [company details to be announced]
- Registration: Commercial Register kept by the Bulgarian Registry Agency
This information is also provided under Art. 4 of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act. Full company details are on the Company details page.
2. Words we use
- Platform: the vet-ty.com website and the VetCare app with all their features.
- User: anyone with an account on the platform.
- Owner: a user who keeps profiles of their own animals and uses the portal, listings and community.
- Business: a veterinary clinic, grooming salon, pet hotel, pet shop or veterinary pharmacy registered on the platform. The "business owner" is the user who registered the business and represents it towards us.
- Staff member: a user invited by the business owner to work in that business.
- Clinic client: a pet owner whose data a clinic enters or uses for treatment.
- Shared owner–pet profile: name, phone, e-mail, microchip, QR code and the owner–pet link, used by every clinic the owner visits. It is jointly controlled by us and the clinics.
- Listing: a post about a lost pet, a pet for adoption or a pet for sale.
- AI assistant: an artificial-intelligence assistant for the veterinarian in the clinic app.
- Content: text, photos, files and other data entered by users.
3. Your account
- Age. Only people aged 16 or over may create an account. You confirm your age when you register. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will close it.
- Accurate data. Use your real name, e-mail and phone and keep them up to date.
- One person, one account. Your account is personal. Do not share it. In a clinic every staff member uses their own account, so it is clear who did what.
- Security. Keep your password secret and do not reuse it elsewhere. If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password at once and tell us. Changing the password signs out all other sessions.
- Acceptance. By registering you accept these terms and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy. We keep a record of the version you accepted, when, and from which IP address.
- Free account. The pet owner account is free. Only business subscriptions are paid (see section 6).
4. Pet owners
Pet profile, QR and portal
- You can enter details and a photo of your own animals. A microchip belongs to one animal only. Do not enter someone else's microchip.
- The pet's QR page shows only name, species and breed: no contact details and no health data.
- In the portal you see the visits and vaccinations entered by clinics. These records belong to the clinics and you cannot change them. If something is wrong, contact the clinic.
- If a clinic has already created a profile for you (for example at the front desk), you can take it over by registering at vet-ty.com.
Listings (lost, adoption, for sale)
- Post only about your own animals and only truthful information.
- Do not write your home address or other people's personal data in the listing text. The map point shows an approximate area; do not mark your front door.
- What in a listing is visible to everyone and what only to logged-in users (for example your phone number) is explained in the Privacy Policy.
- Not allowed: listings for animals whose sale or keeping is prohibited, animals without the documents, identification (microchip) or veterinary requirements the law demands, animals taken or found by you, and any illegal trade.
- Only adults (18+) may publish a for-sale listing.
- The platform is not a party to deals between users: it takes no payments, does not check the animals and does not guarantee the honesty of the other side.
- A listing stays up until you remove it or until it expires, if an expiry applies. We may remove a listing that breaks these terms or the law.
Comments
Comments on listings are public. Stay on topic, be polite and do not post other people's personal data (phone numbers, addresses). The listing owner can pin comments. We may remove comments that break the rules. More in the Privacy Policy.
Breeding (mating)
Your mating profile is visible to other logged-in users. When there is a mutual match, the other side sees your name and phone number. You are responsible for the animal's health, pedigree and compliance with breeding rules. More in the Privacy Policy.
Appointment requests
An appointment request is a request, not a confirmed appointment. The clinic accepts or declines it and you see the answer in the portal. The platform does not guarantee that the clinic will accept it. What the clinic receives: Privacy Policy.
The platform does not give veterinary advice to owners. If your animal has a health problem, contact a veterinarian.
5. Clinics and other businesses
- Who may register a business. An adult authorised to represent the business. A business starts working after VetCare approves it. We may refuse or freeze a business if its data is false or it breaks the rules.
- Data processing agreement. The business owner accepts the Data Processing and Joint Controller Agreement at registration (existing businesses: at the next login). Until it is accepted, work in the business is restricted.
- Lawful basis for client data. The business is the controller of its clients' and their animals' data. It must have a lawful basis for processing it and must inform its clients. Use our template Information for clients.
- The shared owner–pet profile (name, phone, e-mail, microchip, QR, owner–pet link) is used by every clinic the owner visits and is jointly controlled. The rules are in the Agreement.
- Team on the public page. Show staff names and photos (the "Show team" setting) only with the consent of each staff member.
- Regulatory records. The BABH logs (ambulatory log, veterinary medicinal products, disinfection, narcotics, etc.) are kept in the platform as a tool. The clinic remains responsible for their content, completeness and retention period.
- Staff and permissions. The business owner invites staff and sets their permissions per module. The owner is responsible for who has access and for removing people who have left.
- Reminders to clients. Reminder e-mails are sent on behalf of the clinic. The clinic is responsible for sending them only to clients who have not objected.
- The public page of the business (hours, services, prices, gallery) must be accurate and up to date.
6. Subscriptions and payment
- Free trial. Every new business gets 30 days free, no card needed, with all modules for its type.
- Plans. After the trial the business chooses a plan, paid monthly or yearly. Plans and prices are published in the app and on the pricing page. If there are no published plans yet for your type of business, you use the platform free of charge until we publish them and notify you in advance.
- Prices. Prices are in euro and include VAT (20%).
- Payment. By card via Stripe (renews automatically; the card is managed in the Stripe portal) or by bank transfer against a proforma invoice. We issue an invoice for every payment.
- Plan limits. Clinic plans differ by the number of vets. If you reach the limit, choose a larger plan to add another vet.
- Unpaid period. If a period ends without payment, you get a 7-day grace period in which everything works. After that the business becomes read-only: you can view and export your data but not enter or change it. Your data is not deleted while in this mode. Once you pay, everything is restored.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; until then you keep full access.
- Refunds. We do not refund unused parts of a paid period, unless the law requires it.
- Price changes. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance by e-mail to the business owner. The new price applies from the next billing period.
- After termination. When the contract with a business ends, the data stays available read-only for 90 days so you can export it. After that it is deleted or anonymised as described in the Agreement. We keep our own invoices for as long as accounting law requires.
[To be decided: after how long an unpaid read-only business is treated as terminated (the 90 days start then).]
7. AI assistant ("AI + vet")
- The AI assistant is a tool for the veterinarian. It suggests possible causes, questions for the owner, tests and a visit summary. It does not diagnose and does not prescribe.
- The vet decides, and responsibility for the examination, diagnosis and treatment stays with the vet and the clinic. An AI answer never enters the record by itself; the vet decides what to use.
- Treatment suggestions are switched off until they have been evaluated by veterinarians.
- A clinic uses AI only if the business owner has switched it on and accepted the AI annex to the Agreement.
- Answers may be incomplete or wrong. Check them with professional judgement.
- Collective knowledge. We may use knowledge from all clinics only as de-identified aggregates, at least 10 cases from at least 3 clinics, with no data that could identify a clinic, an owner or an animal. Any clinic can opt out.
- Pet owners have no access to AI on the platform.
8. Content
Content you enter remains yours (or the business's). You give us a free, non-exclusive right to store, copy (including in backups) and display it only as far as needed to run the platform and in the way you chose (for example a public listing). The right ends when you delete the content, except for backups until they expire and data the law requires us to keep.
Not allowed
- illegal content, fraud, misleading or false listings;
- other people's personal data without a lawful basis (phone numbers, addresses, photos of people);
- insults, threats, harassment, discrimination, cruelty to animals;
- advertising and spam unrelated to the animal in the listing;
- malware, attempts to access other people's data, automated scraping and overloading the system.
Reports and removal
If you see illegal content, e-mail us at [company details to be announced] with the link, a description and why you believe it is illegal. We will review the report without undue delay. When we remove or restrict content, we tell the author and give the reason, unless the law forbids it. The author can challenge the decision at the same address.
9. Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform running continuously and securely, but we do not guarantee a specific uptime. Maintenance is sometimes needed; where we can, we schedule it outside working hours and announce it in advance. We may change and develop features; if we remove a significant paid feature, we will tell businesses in advance.
We recommend that businesses export their important data regularly.
10. Liability
- We are liable for damage we cause, within the limits allowed by Bulgarian law. We do not limit liability for intent or gross negligence.
- We are not liable for content and actions of users and businesses (listings, deals, comments, medical decisions), for outages beyond our control, or for losses caused by a breach of these terms.
- Towards businesses our liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the last 12 months, except for intent or gross negligence.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Bulgarian and EU law.
11. Termination
- You can close your account at any time from your profile (when the feature is available) or by e-mail to [company details to be announced]. What happens to your data: Privacy Policy.
- The business owner can end the use for the business by cancelling the subscription or writing to us. See section 6 for the data after the end.
- We may suspend or close an account or a business for a serious or repeated breach of these terms or the law. Where possible, we warn you first and give you time to fix the problem.
12. Changes to these terms
For material changes we will notify you by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. At your next login we will ask you to accept the new version. If you disagree, you can close your account or end the subscription before the change. Minor changes (for example typos, or a new feature that places no obligation on you) may take effect immediately.
13. Governing law and disputes
- Bulgarian law applies. Disputes are decided by the competent Bulgarian courts.
- If you are a consumer, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection and use a conciliation committee for alternative dispute resolution. You also keep the protection given by the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
- Personal data complaints: Commission for Personal Data Protection.
