In the profile
What matters about your pet — in fields, not notes.
When the vet, the groomer or the pet hotel asks “how old, how heavy, is he neutered?” — the answer is on your phone.

QR card
One card. Nothing personal.
Every pet gets a QR card — print it or keep it as an image (PNG). Put it on the collar, in the document folder or at the pet hotel.
- 1Print the card
Or save it as an image on your phone.
- 2Someone scans it
With their phone camera — no app needed.
- 3They see only the basics
Name, species and breed. No contact details, no health data.
- 4At the clinic — the record
A team that works with VetCare opens the patient for treatment or a sale with one scan.
Microchip
The chip number — always at hand
The clinic records the microchip number, and you see it in your pet’s profile. A chip belongs to one pet only — nobody can claim someone else’s pet by typing in its number.
- Recorded by the clinic — shown in your profile
- Look-up by number among the clinic’s patients
VetCare is not a microchip registry and is not connected to national databases. Official chip registration stays with your vet.
Health & vaccinations
The health record comes from the clinic.
No copying the passport, no loose papers. When the vet completes a visit in VetCare, the record appears in your pet’s profile — exactly as it was entered.
- Vaccinations
Which vaccine, when it was given and when the next one is due — flagged “due soon” or “overdue”.
- Your own vaccinations
A vaccine given outside a VetCare clinic you add yourself — product, date and next due date. It stays separate from the clinic’s records.
- Visits
Date, type, diagnosis, clinic and vet — with control visits grouped under the first visit.
- Lab results & files
Lab values across visits, images and documents — only what the clinic has confirmed.
- Coming up
The control visits your vet has scheduled and the appointments you requested.
- Read-only
Owners can’t edit the vet’s records. That keeps the history true.
- OwnerMax’s profile
You create the profile and add the details.
- ClinicPatient at the clinic
The team scans the QR card and opens the record.
- ClinicVisit & vaccination
The vet records the visit and the next vaccination date.
- OwnerYou see it

Shown as upcoming — and as overdue if it slips past.
Questions about the pet profile
What details can I add about my pet?
Name, species, breed, colour, date of birth (or age), sex, weight, whether it’s neutered, whether it’s purebred, and free-text notes. The microchip number is recorded by the clinic.
Can I upload a photo of my pet?
Yes — JPG, PNG or WebP, and you can replace or delete it. If you list your pet as lost, for adoption or for sale, the photo shows in the listing too. Without a photo the profile shows a drawing of the species.
Can I add a vaccination myself?
Yes — one given outside a VetCare clinic: product, date, optionally the next due date and a note. Vaccinations and visits recorded by the clinic stay read-only, exactly as the vet entered them.
Will I see vaccinations from any clinic?
You see records from clinics that keep their visits in VetCare. Vaccinations given elsewhere don’t appear automatically — you can add them yourself.
What does the QR card show when someone scans it?
Only your pet’s name, species and breed. No phone number, address or health data.
Can I enter the microchip myself?
No. The microchip is implanted and recorded by the veterinary clinic — the clinic enters the number and you see it in the profile.
Does VetCare register the microchip?
No. The clinic records the number and can look it up among its own patients, but VetCare isn’t a microchip registry and isn’t connected to national databases.
