2. What data and why
- Your data: name, phone, e-mail, address (for the logs we must keep by law).
- Your animal's data: species, breed, age, microchip, examinations, diagnoses, treatment, vaccines, investigations and images, payments.
- Veterinary care: to examine and treat your animal (contract).
- Legal obligations: logs required by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BABH), accounting records.
- Reminders: e-mail about a vaccination, control or annual check-up (our legitimate interest). You can opt out at any time.
3. The VetCare platform
We keep patient records on the VetCare platform (vet-ty.com). VetCare stores the data on our behalf and on our instructions as a processor. The servers are in the EU.
Shared profile. Your name, phone, e-mail, the microchip and your link to the animal form a shared profile, which VetCare and the clinics you visit control jointly. If you visit another clinic on VetCare, it can find your profile by phone number to link its own record to it. Our medical records are not shown to another clinic. You see completed visits from all clinics in the portal. You can take over your profile by registering at vet-ty.com.
4. How long we keep data
Medical records and logs: for the periods set by veterinary law; accounting records: as required by accounting law; other data: while you are our client and ______ years after the last visit.
5. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Contact us at the address above. For the shared profile you may also contact VetCare. Reminders: to stop them, tell us or use the link in the e-mail.
